Meet Jon Dunckley
I work with organisations who want to make a change and shape the Financial Services sector for the better. With my help they gain strategic alignment so that those at the top and those on the ground share the same message and demonstrate the same values. I’m hired to motivate teams, develop leaders, and work across whole organisations to boost resilience, challenge mindset, and apply the principles of Positive Psychology in the pursuit of personal development and professional excellence.

How a financial planner became a people expert.
From Psychology to Finance and back again.
I first read Psychology in the 1990s and loved it. Since then, I've carved out a niche in Financial Services… but never lost the love of the mind.
A Master's in Applied Positive Psychology and another in Financial Planning later, and I'm combining two sides of my life - bringing the lessons of Positive Psychology to the Financial Services sector.
Whichever way you look at it, Financial Services is a people business. I help my clients apply the psychology to their own organisations, and develop every individual as a result.
The Credentials without the Jargon.
I’ve built my career on credibility, but I believe that clarity matters just as much. My qualifications aren’t there to impress; they’re there to ensure that every insight and every recommendation are grounded in both science and experience.
Dual Master’s Degrees
I hold two Master’s degrees — MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and MSc in Financial Planning & Business Management.
Professional Fellowships
I’m a Fellow of 7 professional organisations — recognised for leadership, contribution, and expertise across both Finance and Psychology.
Financial Industry Author
I’ve authored several Financial Services textbooks — quite literally shaping how our professionals will learn and grow.
What I do when I’m not talking about psychology.
When I’m not working with my clients, you’ll likely find me outdoors. I’ve competed in several Ironman triathlons, cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End, and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (twice). The same determination I bring to sport, I bring to every client partnership I have.
